More ways we can self abandon emotionally...when we feel shut down, we feel disconnected from our emotions, we refuse to feel and we go into states of freeze.
We have emotional issues going on and we shut down from them. We compartmentalise, put them away in a box and sit on them and we might have different strategies to do that. It may be overeating for instance, and it may be other forms of addictive behaviours that mean we can squash those feelings.
When all we do is to shelve those feelings.
We have to deal with them at some point or they will get the better of us and so it’s best to deal with emotions as in when they come up.
